Baseline Energy Consumption [BEC] Standard Released

We have released the first ever standard to measure the energy consumption of metal cutting machine tools, the Baseline Energy Consumption [BEC] standard. The BEC test and metric offers a simple and effective way of assessing the energy requirements of metal cutting equipment and enables powerful benchmarking analysis to compare the relative performance of different machine tools.
